Privacy Policy
This policy explains what DPI Plumbing collects when you contact us through this website or through our ads on Facebook and Instagram, why we collect it, and how to ask us to see, correct or delete it. DPI Plumbing is a licensed plumbing contractor (CSLB #1158448) serving San Diego County, California.
What we collect
When you send us a request through a form on this website:
- Your name, phone number and, if you give it, your email address.
- Details about the job: the problem you pick, anything you write in the description, your neighborhood or ZIP code, the times that suit you and a preferred date, where the form asks for them.
- Which page the request came from and when we received it.
If you use the photo feature on our booking page, we also receive the photo you choose and any note you add to it.
To keep the forms free of spam, we check your IP address and how long the form was open before it was sent.
While you are on the site, your browser’s session storage holds a note that you have already seen our opening animation and, if you add a photo, that photo until you send your request or close the tab. Session storage is cleared when the tab is closed. Our website does not set cookies, does not use analytics tools and does not use advertising or tracking pixels.
Why we use it
- To reply to your request, arrange a visit and prepare for it.
- To keep a record of the requests and jobs we handle.
- To keep spam and automated submissions out of our inbox.
Who helps us handle it
We use a small number of service providers. Each one receives only what it needs to do its job for us.
- Cloudflare hosts this website and stores the requests and photos sent through it.
- Resend, our email delivery provider, delivers each request to our inbox. If Resend is unavailable, another email delivery provider may be used for the same purpose.
- Anthropic receives the photo and note you send through the photo feature, and uses them to produce the read of the photo shown back to you.
- Meta runs the Facebook and Instagram ads we place, as described below.
Facebook and Instagram ads
We advertise on Facebook and Instagram. If you fill in a lead form inside one of our ads, Meta shares the information you enter with DPI Plumbing so that we can respond to your request. We use it only for that, the same way we use requests sent through this website.
Meta’s own use of your information on its platforms is covered by Meta’s Privacy Policy. You can choose which ads you see in your Meta ad preferences.
This website does not use the Meta Pixel or the Meta Conversions API, and does not send information about your visit to Meta.
We do not sell your information
We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.
Do Not Track
Some browsers can send a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal. This website does not track you across other sites, so there is nothing for the signal to switch off, and the site works the same way whether or not your browser sends it.
How long we keep it
- Request details are kept as business records until you ask us to delete them.
- Photos attached to a request are kept for up to 30 days.
- IP addresses used for spam prevention are kept for about one hour.
- Our server logs may briefly contain the details of a request while we troubleshoot a problem with the website.
Seeing, correcting or deleting your information
To ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, or to have it corrected or deleted, email info@dpiplumbing.com or call (619) 736-4072. We may ask you to confirm details of the request so we know it is yours.
Children
This website is meant for adults arranging plumbing work. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you think a child has sent us information, email us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page and update the effective date at the top.
